Following an appalling interaction, I will now be requesting transfer of management for my family memorials in line with Find A Grave guidance, which I've never felt the need to do in over 8 years of using this site.

Where I list 'direct descendant' on a memorial page, that will mean a blood relative directly descended from the person named in the memorial (child, grandchild, great-grandchild, 2x great-grandchild, etc.)
