I work hard to accurately link families I am researching. To post a gravesite/plot/stone with no connection to other family members (when they exist) is not helpful other than there is now a memorial. Photos help, too, when they are available.

Adding to Find a Grave, in my opinion, is not a contest. It's a responsibility, and one I take extremely seriously. If I sound a bit cranky, I will admit I get very frustrated with people who comb obituaries to be "the first" to create a memorial. To me, this is exceedingly disrespectful to the deceased individual and the family.
