I've been actively researching my family history for many years. My grandfather started doing our family genealogy back in the late 1960s/early 1970s and I've tried to continue his work. With so much available on the Internet now, I've been able to find so much more detailed information and make more connections.

My family names are Rose, Doughty, Wilson, Porterfield, Parsons, Rice, Reno, Sadler, Todd, Bethel, Hamilton, Bratten, Hurt, Selman, Holder.

I'm also researching my husband's family history. His family names are Nobriga, Gunn, Smithson, Downs/Downes, Caroline and McNulty.

In remembrance of my father, I'm researching the families of two longtime family friends, Willis B. Colvin and Col. Howard J. Houghland.
