I am a freelance historian and author from Maryland, USA (and I really am a Catholic from the Catholic colony!). I deal mostly in British and Early American history. I am in the process of writing an historical fiction novel about the American Revolution, as well as compiling essays and movie reviews I have written dealing with the Long 18th Century in hopes of future publication. I also blog and help co-edit an online magazine:

Aside from writing, I sing, play the penny whistle and bodhran drum, and learn all the old beautiful Anglo-Celtic ballads I can get my hands on!I also put some of my own poems to music.
