My interest in family history began with my father who was a social studies and history teacher, and with my mother who was an English teacher. Both were tellers of family tales.
I work on the story of my family and others in my spare time, so if you find a memorial that I have created, please check back occasionally, to see if I have added anything new. I consider the memorials I create to be works in progress, so if I find new facts that are pertinent and that would help tie together family relationships or correct misinformation, I will certainly update the memorial in question.
My goal is to make each memorial as thorough and as honoring as possible to each individual on whose life story I work. It is significant that each person lived, and it is important to someone who is searching, to not only find the proper connections, but to also know how they themselves fit into the history of their family.
I would ask that anyone contributing to one of the memorials I manage, please DO NOT ADD CLIPPINGS OR PHOTO COPIES OF OBITUARIES. Please place those instead on your ancestry or personal pages. This is, to me, a platform to celebrate LIFE, and the loved ones I write about who lived, and who had a history that is worth knowing. We know they are now dead, but this, for me, is NOT a platform for mourning. I want each memorial to reflect the excitement and joy of the life each one LIVED. Their contributions, their families, their hard times, their experiences, and their feelings serve to gain a true picture of the person being celebrated! Their history matters so much to me! It is my desire to spark that same enthusiasm in each reader, to find for themselves who these dear ones were, how they lived, where they lived, and the footprints they left for each of us to follow.
