Connected to the future through my ancestors. I have been the family historian for as long as I can remember. I have always cared about where and who I came from. I used to take a cassette player (yes, I am that old) to all family functions and sit at the feet of the elders and record the stories they told. I wrote everything down. I have been blessed to receive all the family photos and a room full of papers, obituaries, letters, and news clippings and to be the keeper of the flame. I am passionate about having correct data and only posting verifiable information. I am also passionate about sharing the data I have so that those who are just learning to appreciate their ancestors can know them a bit through the stories I was told. There are "black sheep" stories that really can bring a soul to life as well. I am recently semi retired and have time to now delve into Find A Grave and try to share on a regular basis. I will gladly review any edits and include that which I may not have entered yet. I am not new to Find A Grave but am new to the process so bare with me as I learn.
