I have always been interested in American history and genealogy, however, with a family to raise, there was little time to explore family history. Family lines I am interested in are Adams, Knisley, Higgins from New England.

In addition to family member memorials I've created, I add memorials whenever I am in a cemetery and discover a gravesite without a memorial. I will be more than happy to transfer memorials to others that would like to manage these memorials.

Many times we know very little about our ancestors other than a headstone that has a name, birth date, and death. There is an interesting song, "The Dash" that I have heard at funeral services that really gives one something to think about. To summarize, the dob and dod are not the important things a person is remembered for, it is the life in between, the "dash" that is most important.

The Internet has opened up so many opportunities to explore and find "the dash" in our forefathers lives. Sometimes headstones give us more family connection information as well. Now that my children are raised with families of their own, I have more time to explore this hobby.
