I am a novice at genealogy. I am currently working on re-typing the family history of my paternal line (Bost). I have found this site to be helpful in finding info on distant family members, discovering family I never knew existed, and for finding information to use to update family tree info. I am thankful to the individuals who have created the memorials for the family I have found on here.
I am (and will always will be) in the process of maintaining/updating a family tree for my family, both paternal and maternal. Here are the surnames I am interested in:
My paternal side (father's family):
Bost (originated in Germany as Bast who eventually settled in North Carolina and parts of Virginia)
Menscer (maiden name of my paternal grandmother)
Moretz
Hefner
My maternal side (mother's family):
Rittenhouse (Georgia and Florida)
Flye (maiden name of my maternal grandmother)
