It's been an amazing journey researching my family names of Morford, Jacobson, Danielson, Fletcher, Hering and Hatfield. Putting the pieces together to weave my family stories has been so much fun. I hope I did a good job in telling their stories and that they are as proud of me as I am of them and the legacies they left behind.
It's very important to me to take care of memorials and tell their stories to the best of my ability. The more I know, the better. I'm not satisfied with just dates and dashes.
I have been blessed to walk in cemeteries where my ancestors walked 100 years ago to visit their loved ones until it was their time to join them. I now walk in their footprints to visit their graves.
I can access obituaries for Omaha, Nebraska. If you need help, just ask. If exact date of death is not known, the month and year will suffice and I will do my best to find it if it exists. Sadly, not everyone has an obituary and their story goes untold.
Most of the memorials I created are family but for those I created that are not, I will consider transferring outside the FAG guidelines, let me know how you are related, why you want the memorial and that you will take good care of it. It's better that family manage memorials who knows the person better than a stranger who doesn't know them at all.
If in your search for memorials you come across one that doesn't have a flower, leave one as if you are visiting their grave. It's always nice to be remembered whether you knew them or not.

I am currently in the process of adding plot numbers to memorials for the Oak Grove Cemetery in DeWitt, Nebraska where my 2x Great-Grandparents and children are buried. They had nine children and buried six of them. They were pillars of their community and were well liked. For those who have documented this cemetery and receive multiple edits from me I try not to over burden you and will do only a few at a time. I do keep track of who manages the memorials so this doesn't happen. Thank you for your patience and thank you for all the time and hard work you put in by creating memorials and grave photos. My brother and I make annual visits to the family plot and will do our best to fulfill any photo requests.
