Bio

Family history and genealogy have been lifelong passions of mine. As a young boy, I was captivated by the stories my dad would share about his childhood and our ancestors. These stories often surfaced when a place, a photo, or even a simple moment sparked his memory. Our summer road trips from California to Southeast Texas were more than vacations. They were journeys into our family's past. We visited relatives, small towns, and cemeteries to honor and connect with our antepasados.

More recently, during the spring, I've continued this tradition. I make time to revisit those same places, reflect, and pay my respects. Though I consider myself an amateur genealogist, I'm always learning. Each discovery, whether about my own family or one I've stumbled upon along the way, adds to the rich tapestry of stories that connect us across generations.

I've come to understand that researching family history is not a straight line. It is planar, with paths that spread in many directions. I hope the work I leave behind becomes a meaningful guide for others. I want it to help them find their roots, make connections, and build a deeper understanding of their own family histories. It means a lot to know that something I've uncovered could help someone feel more connected to their story.

I currently live in San Diego, California, and continue to explore, preserve, and share the histories that shape who we are.
