I am a retired (retired in 1997) Presbyterian minister and author/publisher. I served Presbyterian congregations in Laurel, Belden, Plattsmouth and Omaha, Nebraska, as well as in Council Bluffs, IA, and a little country church north of Red Oak, IA, the longest having been Presbyterian Church of the Master in Omaha, where I was the Senior Pastor for 20 years. I created and operated, with my wife Ruth -- as a ma-and-pa home business -- Church Management Resources. We've now retired it, but it was a company that published and sold to thousands of churches of many denominations throughout the USA the 100 or so titles I've written. They have mostly to do with church management and management of ministry.

I was born in Madrid (Perkins Co.) Nebraska in 1935, raised in Ord (Valley Co.) Nebraska, and was college-educated in Hastings, Nebraska. I got my ministerial master's and doctoral degrees at San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, California.

My wife, Ruth L. Ollis, was also from Ord, Nebraska. She and I were married on August 17, 1956. (Sadly, she died May 31, 2019. See memorial #199607974.) We have three sons, all of whom live in Omaha with their wonderful wives. All nine of our grandchildren live in Omaha, as do our 16 great-grandchildren, plus one more on the way as of this writing.
