I was born in Tampa, FL in 1947. My mother was a second generation Floridian with her parents coming from Texas. Her ancestors migrated from North Carolina, North Georgia and Eastern Tennessee through Arkansas and North Florida to Teaxs. Most of my father’s family came from North Carolina (5+ generations). My father and mother met while he was at MacDill Field before he went to North Africa during WWII.
My late wife, Lillie Anita Hoover, and I were high school sweethearts. We had two children and moved to North Carolina in the mid-1970’s, where I still live.
I have been working on my Genealogy for about 25 years but actively started researching my family now that I am retired.
