I was born in Ranson, West Virginia, and grew up along the Potomac River in Brunswick, Maryland. I now call Waynesboro, Pennsylvania home. I joined Find A Grave in 2015 with a desire to help preserve the stories and resting places of those who came before us.

One of my greatest joys is visiting cemeteries and cleaning headstones with my daughter. It is meaningful work that allows us to honor the past together while teaching the next generation the importance of remembrance and respect.

I have a special interest in the Dawson and Lucas family history, as well as Civil War history. The stories of those who lived through that pivotal time in our nation's history continue to inspire and educate me.

Genealogy is important to me because it fosters respect and understanding of family heritage. Every life has value, and every story deserves to be remembered. Preserving these histories helps keep them alive for future generations.
