I was born, raised, and spent my life in Deep River. I graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, and afterwards worked at a restaurant chain ending up in Framingham, Massachusetts where I met my wife Deborah. We are fortunate to have one son, Julian, who lives in Berlin, Germany, with his wife.
From 1973 to 2005 I worked at LaPlace's Furniture Store with my father and Donald Malcarne. We worked with some of the finest, most loyal, and hard working people, all from the immediate area.
In 2005, the property was sold to developers who intended to bring a pharmacy back to the center of town. That same year, I was installed as the incoming Grand Lodge officer of Freemasons of Connecticut and became Grand Master in 2013. All this while Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Freemasons monthly newspaper for eight years.
I was appointed to a three year term on the board of directors of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia in 2014. I was hired in 2016 as Executive Secretary of the Masonic Service Association of North America, Burtonsville, Maryland, a three-year commitment.
