I'm totally new at researching genealogy. Complete novice! But I'm trying :-) It seems my maiden name has some variations of the spelling that began before my Grandfather, William Edward Shown, or possibly even before his father, Alex.
Shoun/Schown/Schoun. I could go on.
DNA through Ancestry.com has linked me to hundreds of people that just seem to confuse me even more because I can't figure out how I'm connected......when there's no names I recognize on their family tree.
I'm reaching out to as many places as I can trying to connect to as many folks as I can !
