I have been chasing ancestors, mostly on the internet, since the mid-'80s. Not all of them have been mine, but all of them deserve to be reconnected here on earth with their families. Wherever my quests have taken me, I have always learned something --about them, about history or about myself. Sometimes it's grueling but it's always fun. I've found "surprise" members of families, including my own. I recently discovered a man who had over 130 living descendants when he died. That's a lot of peeps.
I certainly don't consider myself to be an expert -- just a worker. I'm willing to help anyone who does this work in any way that I can, so don't be afraid to ask.
My advice is "Ask questions, listen to the stories and take notes!"
