I was blessed with a good start in exploring part of my family tree by my mothers cousin who gave us a notebook of research she had done. I started finding out more about the Texas branch of my family, and found many were buried in country cemeteries with in a few hours drive. Now I'm semi-retired, have computer & internet access and am expanding what cousin Jerri started. Even my husband is getting in to it with his family from the Texas Costal Bend. Is providing fun exploration of our country side with the purpose of getting in touch with our roots. It's amazing how many of my peers have little or no knowledge of family beyond their Grandparents, and have never even visited their burial sites.
These old-timers are becoming friends now, and I can share it all with Grandkids!
