I have been a genealogist and have studied the histories of families, genealogical records, and the principles of sound genealogical research for over 40 years. I am also a writer of historical non-fiction articles and books. I paint landscapes, still life, and peacocks for relaxation.

I am married to Tom Harmon, and we have one daughter, Tina Harmon Havard, and son-in-law Robert Havard; a grandson, Trey Havard, and his wife, Kayla; and two wonderful great-grandchildren, Madison and Luke Havard. We live in Zachary, Louisiana now, but I was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri.

Sadly, my husband of 58 years passed away on December 17, 2025
