I have always been interested in my ancestry and have collected family heirlooms and stories from my mother and grandmothers over the years. However, when my mom died last month and I started going through all of her records, pictures, etc., I started searching for real and now I am obsessed with learning where I come from and passing it down to my children and grandchildren.
My mother's side of the family are Coffey, Gragg, Badgett from the NC and Tenn. mountains. My father's side are Parkers and Rogers from Iredell Co., NC.
