AncestryDNA wasn't intended to be an online dating site, and FindAGrave wasn't intended to be a way for users to promote their brand, be it their name, company, not-for-profit, or newest publication. If you're asking for a memorial's description to be amended to include citing your brand as defined above, I'm not going to do it. It goes against FindAGrave's policies. And it's gross. You're not "aiding historians" by asking to have your name or company added to a memorial. You're wasting my and everyone else's time with such requests. The people that allow your edits don't know any better, which I'd hope would eventually make you embarrassed enough to stop requesting your self-promotion edits. These pages are kept solely to memorialize the departed. Not you.

Occasionally I add a photo of a headstone that has already been photographed. Reasons include:
1. something captured in the new photo may be of help
2. the headstone looks so different from the last photo, and having a chronology of sorts could prove useful
3. the last photo was taken with a camera or phone made 10+ years ago and a higher res photo might be helpful
4. many newer phones, mine included, automatically add GPS coordinates (fairly close, anyway) for that grave when a photo is uploaded
