My name is Walter Dewayne Willess. I was born in Henderson Texas on July 29th, 1952 making the Henderson and surrounding East Texas area my home most of my life. When I was very young, we lived in the Dallas area for a short period & Mother - Margie Marie Willess - moved to California a few times for short periods to be with my father - Walter Fred "Joe" Willess (killed in an industrial accident 8/08/1957) and again a few years later to be with my brother - Dennis Willess - both were in the Navy. I graduated at Henderson High School in May 1970 and joined the Navy shortly after. After my tour of duty, I started working in the Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration (Drilling) and Production business on crew boats in April 1975 and obtained my Captain's license early 1978. I met my wife - Angela F. Willess - in 1977 at Galveston and we married on May 4th, 1978. We were blessed with 2 children; Dawn Marie - 11/02/1978 and Michael Wayne - 10/28/1979. We lived in the Galveston / Texas City area until moving back HOME (To Stay) in 1980. We lost Michael on Jan 6th, 1997 due to an auto accident he had on Dec 31st, 1996. Angela and I have 3 FANTASTIC grandchildren (Summer Elizabeth, Sydney Elise and Michael Kenneth)... thank you Dawn. I have 2 brothers (Dennis Dale Willess and David Dorian Deason)that reside in the East Texas area. My occupation kept me away from home at various locations around the world for varying lengths of time. I retired in 2015 and reside in the Brachfield community. Mother - Margie Marie Duncan Willess passed 15 April 2016 & my wife - Angela Flores Willess - passed 25 Nov 2017. I have started researching genealogical information for various branches of my family. Related family names include Willess (Father's side), Duncan (Mother's side), Hawthorne, Passons, Truit, Crawford, Nelson, Blanton, Moorehead, Wilbanks, Green, Flores.
