I was born in Snow Hill Maryland , son Of Maisie Taylor Collins and Reece Sturgis , My family are members of the St. James AME Taylor Gate Church and Cemetery. The cemetery is located to the rear of the church and is over 100 years old.At this time the only cemetery records are the ones I have found with the hlp of family and friends and continue to located. I do know that Elsey Taylor was a Civil War Veteran and is buried somewhere in the Cemetery. In the 1900 census he is listed as William Edward Taylor and Eva Taylor's Grandfather ,William Edward Taylor is my mother's father. The records regarding the cemetery are no where to be found. I found that numerous graves has no markers of any kind
