Ancestor surnames: Shepherd, Underwood, Galloway, Neal, Lawing, Beaty, Butler, Rodden, Berryhill, Rea, Fite, Cathey, Waddell, Kerr, Dalton, and (of course) Smith, and many, many more. My focus is in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Transylvania, and Macon counties, North Carolina.
