I came to findagrave.com by sheer accident. I was looking for information about a great uncle who had disappeared after leaving my grandfather's house to attend a circus. The story goes that he borrowed my grandfather's suit, tie, and Sunday shoes to attend a circus and that he would return to finish the chicken coop he was building for my grandparents on the following Monday. He never returned. His siblings all died without knowing where he was.

I found him almost instantly on this site and this made me curious. I now know the names of relatives that I didn't know before and I found how my paternal and maternal sides are related. I love cemeteries because the headstones alway pique my curiosity. Most of the back row of Mt. Tabor cemetery in Fayette, IN are related to me somehow.I grew up going to the cemetery with my folks and it has continued. I now live in Allen County which has one of the top 5 genealogy departments in the country and I plan on learning to use it soon. I grew up in Hendricks and Boone, Counties, IN before moving away in 1994.
