I have had an interest in and done some research of Shive family history in and around Rowan County, North Carolina for more than 50 years with particular interest in the family lineage associated with Revolutionary War soldier Philip Shive who is buried in the cemetery at Phaniels Baptist Church, Rockwell, Rowan County, North Carolina. Since my military retirement I have focused on updating and correcting Find A Grave entries for relatives, many I personally knew from years long gone, and others I have knowledge of from my parents' stories they shared with me. I want to leave an accurate account of these relatives for future research and knowledge.
