I grew up in a Funeral Director's family where weekend adventures meant meandering through local cemeteries. When I travel, I always include visits to the local cemeteries and an exploration of local mourning rituals and burial practices. I am trained to participate in a Chevra Kadisha. I believe that respect for the dead is an important part of culture.
