Family and friends call me Bill, although my given name is John William Latta II. I was named by my parents after my paternal grandfather, John William Latta, who was still living at the time of my birth.
I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. I attended Glencliff High School and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Nashville with my degree in Communications Design. I served a six year enlistment in the U.S. Navy with two years of that enlistment on active duty aboard the destroyer USS Gearing (DD-710).
I married the former Faye McNeal of Nashville. We live in Mount Juliet, TN a few miles east of downtown Nashville. We have two sons and five delightful and growing grandchildren.
Creating art and visual images is a gift with which I was blessed. It has always ben and continues to be my calling. My career has been as a professional designer and illustrator, working with advertising agencies and major publishers throughout the country and abroad.
I am a Christian and am very active with my wife through in our church. Reaching and helping others in Jesus' name is our passion.
My personal interests are history, photography, art, travel, boating, water skiing, and the great outdoors.
