I am a Sergeant Major in the NY State Guard,with a badge in communications and radiological monitoring. I operated the MERN (Military Emergency Radio Net) in the EOC in Valhalla,NY in the three days after 9/11/01. Also during Hurricanes Irene and Sandy. I am also a retired member of NY Search and Rescue which is the primary SAR unit for the lower Hudson valley. I am a member of the ARRL (ORS Orange Co.). I am a member of Army MARS. Also the Mt. Beacon, Orange County ARC and Orange County Ares/races where I am the Deputy Emergency Coordinator. Also I am Advanced Skywarn certified. I have been involved with radio (CB) since the 70's but just became a HAM on 11/4/03. I am a Patrolman and Chief Range Safety Officer for the Black Rock Fish and Game Club in Mountainville,NY and a NRA certified RSO and Pistol Instructor. I am retired from Perreca Electric, electrical contractor in Newburgh, NY, where I was the Operations Manager. I worked there from 1985 to 2011.
