I am the Municipal Historian for the Town and Village of Greene in Chenango County, NY, as well as a Firefighter/EMT with Oxford Fire Department in Chenango County, NY. I am a former Corrections Officer with the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, and a former Police Officer of the New York State OMH (Office of Mental Health) as a New York State Mental Health Police Officer, currently residing in Oxford, NY. I am 31 and have been infatuated with history since I was a little kid! I take great interest and appreciation in grave hunting and historical research of graves. I was the first and former Superintendent of the Historic Second Street Cemetery in Elmira, New York. This cemetery was relocated from its original location in 1838. This cemetery interns the founding families and individuals for the City of Elmira. Several of the original internments were split from the main cemetery when the relocation took place and were placed in the Woodlawn Cemetery, where people such as Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) are interred. I am happy to fulfill requests for information and/or pictures for memorials on here, and randomly fulfill some from time to time!
