I am a contributor to FindAGrave and helped lead agenealogy group in Annapolis, Maryland. One of our members stressed the importance of people contributing and taking over the management of their FindAGrave ancestors. My 97 years young mother passed away in June 2022 and told stories about her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members - which I duly recorded. She gave me the job as family flamekeeper and custodian of fading pictures and clippings in old photo albums. Our genealogy group promised to upload photos and stories of interest on FindAGrave for our descendants and relatives. I have requested "transfer" of the management of direct family members for which I have extensive knowledge and information. Many, many thanks for all of the FindAGrave volunteers who are building such a wonderful treasure trove of family history! We now live in Kentucky where my father's family is from and also my mother's Callahan ancestors. As time permits I will research genealogy resources in Lexington, Maysville and southeastern Kentucky counties.... and upload genealogy information.
