Genealogist since 2009. Of predominantly European descent with ties to the Mingo tribe and Melungeon populations who lived in Appalachia in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Direct descendant of Robert Burdick, the first Burdick recorded in the British Colonies around 1660. At least three ancestors served during the Revolutionary War: Daniel Stoy, founder of Stoystown, PA; Timothy Riggs from Newark, NJ; and Luke Greene from Westerly, RI.

I don't care for Find A Grave's asinine "close relatives only" policy. It is neither my place nor theirs to gatekeep our connections to those who have passed on, especially people who had no children or siblings.
