I am a native Houstonian born in 1954. I started researching my ancestry roots in the 1980's. I use to go to the Clayton library before computers. I discovered my father's side thru research, not thru him. I think he didn't know much about his background because no one told him. So he had nothing to pass along to me. It is very important that I leave my research behind so that my history is preserved for future generations. I am very proud of my ancestors and all the struggles they endured so that I might live and pass on the bloodline.
