Francis Marion Joseph Reid was born on July 17, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When he was about seven years old, his family moved to Cheektowaga, New York.
He attended Saint Aloysius Grade School there & Saint John's in Alden, NY. For high school, he went to Saint Mary's in Lancaster, NY & Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
He joined the United States Air Force on 13 Sep 1976, and was stationed in Monterey, California, where he met his future wife, Deborah Anne Newton, and they would travel to Greece and Germany in Europe, along with several stateside bases. They retired to Melbourne, Florida, where he would work for the Brevard County Library System, receive his Masters in Library & Information Science, and become a Master Gardener, and where they would continue to travel to all 50 State Capital Cities!
