Originally started walking through cemeteries back in the 1970's when I lived in Illinois after reading about Al Capone and all the Chicago gangsters that were killed in the Chicago Beer Wars during prohibition. I have spent many hundreds of hours walking through Chicago area cemeteries. Alot of the photos that I upload to
individuals' pages I took 30 to 40 years ago, so the quality isn't as sharp as others I've taken. I have hundreds of photos that as I have time, I am uploading to Find A Grave. I still walk cemeteries when I can and like looking up historical graves and celebrity graves also. The old cemeteries are so peaceful, and all the statues and monuments are works of art. I have often wondered who actually created some of these statues and carvings. Would love to go back in time to see how they did it. Now that I am retired, I have my bucket list of graves that I want to see before I go. I know I won't get to them all, but I'll give it a try!
