I was born in 1961 in Jackson, Mississippi, the third son of eight children (3 sons, 5 daughters) of James Abbie Denson and Helen Wyvonne Whitehead Denson. My wife Edie (Thompson) Denson and I have four grown children born in 1986, 1988, 1992, and 1994. We have eight awesome grandchildren too, and more to come! We resided in Mississippi until 1995, when we moved to Florida for me to take a position as a an aquatic biologist with the state. I was a biologist for 28 years, and served as a church music director for almost 35 years. I retired in March 2024, and we now reside in Macon, GA. I have a music degree from Mississippi College (1984) and two biology degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi (1992 and 1994). I have been interested in genealogy for many years, but until recently have had very little time to devote to it. The internet has certainly advanced family history study by light years, and so I can get a lot done in a small space of time! I am happy to share any information I have with anyone interested; just let me know.
