I am a retired school counselor and I also have a history background. I am the daughter of Alice Wallace and Gaspar Montoya Padilla.

I first got interested in family history when my father would take me to Santa Rita, N.M to visit his aunt. I loved visiting her. She would tell us about our family history. Dad would take notes or record her. I have been hooked ever since. Years later, I found documentation for all of my Aunt's oral history. Thank you to my father and Tia Tomacita for giving me such a gift.
