Grandparents include: Ronnie R H Coots & Mary Lou Allen, Louvernia C Owens & Thomas G Coots, General G Allen & Orpha Wooten Virginia F Hawkins & Curtis H Hunley, Guynith E Denny & Albert Hawkins, Junior J Hunley & Genettie Ward. I've been curious about my family history and stories since I was very little, about 8 when I found out my familys snake-handling church was mentioned in a book that my Mamaw Lou kept on her coffee table & became completely fascinated. The biggest truth I hope to uncover is more about my great grandfather Bennie. I've heard stories that he wasn't born a "Coots", but rather was "taken in" by another family (possibly the Brock's) but I don't have much to corroborate the stories I've heard. I would like to uncover how this happened without upsetting anyone of course. I'd just like to know his biological side of the family if possible.
