Got the genealogy bug at age 16 after hearing General Stonewall Jackosn was a cousin on my Brake side and that my 6th great grandmother Elizabeth Brake, had been captured and killed by the Shawnee. Those facts combined with the story of my GGGGG grandfather Colonel Isaac Gregory killing the last buffalo in Webster County, WV sealed my fate. :-) They lived BIG in those days.
Joined the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1998 and re enacted for a few years. It's in my blood. I love family stories and digging up genealogy.
