My family has kept genealogical records for the last hundred years or so and my purpose is to provide this information to others through edits so our family's Find A Grave memorials include specific dates, complete names and relationships. I am careful to corroborate the person's identity prior to suggesting an edit and do appreciate all the volunteers who graciously accept.

My first edit was about my great great grandmother buried beside her husband, my great great grandfather. Who knew she had divorced my other great great grandfather and married her daughter's widowed father-in-law, or what her maiden name was, or that she was born in Germany? My great grandparents are their children who married and are in the same cemetery with the first couple mentioned, all with the same last name and with no maiden names listed. With no edits, we'd never know who's who. We all have similar stories and thanks to Find A Grave we can keep our stories straight!
