I'm the granddaughter of Robert Walter Stanley and Annie Valentine (nee Adams) Stanley.  I am the daughter of their son Walter Keith Stanley and his 1st wife Lois Muriel Stanley (nee Hay of Metcalfe, Ont.)  They married in Ottawa, June 22,1946 after his Army deployment in WWII.  Eventually they purchased my father's parents' family farm which had previously been "Stanley Dairy."  Grandpa Stanley had already moved Stanley Dairy to another farm nearby where milk was produced and delivered around Ottawa.  So my parents did not farm, the property was leased for farming and barn storage.Our farm was located in the Hurdman's Bridge area, at the corner of Russell Rd. and Walkley Rd.  The City of Ottawa expropriated us from the property around 1954 (eventually the land became housing and around the location of "Ottawa Athletic Club."   We moved to Ottawa south, and grew up our entire lives at 34 Belmont Ave., off of Riverdale, it was idyllic along the Rideau River.  Keith & Lois divorced in 1959/60 - not a popular thing for any family in that era.  My mother Lois worked hard to keep us in that house.  She remarried in 1972 to Donald James Gregory, they lived at 34 until Oct. 2008.   My dad Keith married Wenda Ruth Stanley (nee Gough.)More Stanley and Adams clan be added to the Stanley records as info arises.
