We've been doing genealogy since 1980 - before the internet. Please do not send an edit request without sending proof along with it. Please do not attach this as a "photo" on the Memorial.

We have had an extraordinary number of persons post obituaries on Memorials we manage at the same time they send edit requests. Obituaries are not official records. The information they contain is unsourced and may or may not be 100% accurate. Some are nothing more than a funeral notice with scarce information other than the date, time and place of a funeral and /or burial. Please refrain from adding these, census records, marriage records, draft cards, etc. to these Memorials. They are easily accessible through a number of internet sites, many of which are free.

We do not feel it is our concern to belittle the way other people manage their Memorials, but obviously this is not a shared opinion. Too bad.

In the event the previous paragraph is not clear, please do not add obituaries, Draft Cards, Birth or Death Records, Marriage records, Census Records, etc. as photos to the Memorials we manage. These are available online to persons doing research. We do not add these to Memorials we do not manage and we would really appreciate the same courtesy.
