Hi there, I live in Durham, NC, but my immediate family roots are in the Northeast (NY, NJ, primarily). Early generations came in to both New York and North Carolina/Virginia (Isle of Wight, VA and Nixonton/Pasquotank, NC).

I've benefitted enormously from this site and have started to fulfill photo requests (mostly in areas where I feel safe going alone, which unfortunately, rules out some of the many abandoned cemeteries in my area, though I've been trying to cajole a few people into going with me).
