Recently I lost my mother who held all the family secrets. Now I find that I wish I would have been a better listener. Wrote some of the stories down. I find myself loving the things she loved and missing her more than I thought possible. I was born and reared in Wisner, La, have lived in the Houston, Texas area since 1973 (all my adult life). In my mother's papers I have find some of those secrets and many pictures that I have no idea who they are but can see from the old yellow pictures that are now faded, they are very old, older than me! LOL. I'm now doing research and writing down some of the family secrets, heartaches, hardships, loves and dreams to pass on to the next generation so they will know where they came from to help them on their journey.
