I have been interested in family history since I was a very young child thanks to my Grandmother Mary Brunecz Tichy. She became the family historian over her family which included her parents who both passed in 1969 and 11 surviving siblings (14 total including her,2 passed young) both my grandparents (mothers) passed in 2017.
When my brother Jeff was in college (early 2000's) they did a "family tree" paper for school and I got a copy of it, sometime after that I got hugely into knowing who my dads real father was bc nobody would talk much about him. I was in my 30s by this time and the internet still hadn't exploded into what it is now plus I was busy working and raising children. I found this site and others, also receiving info from my father's cousin a few years ago after my dads mother passed in 2010.
Both of my Mom's parents, who I was also raised by for the most part as both my parents worked, both passed this past year Apr. & Aug 2017.
I am doing geneology for both sides of my family. That includes Brunecz,Tichy, Sperl, Hamilton (my dad's adoptive last name) and Parks (his real dad's last name)
I just lost my Dad on Monday, Dec 12 2022 and have taken over that memorial as well.
