My name is Barbara, having fun with genealogy, and finding new facets on the old gems in my family .
My mother's people were some of the original pioneers of Preston County WV and Allegheny/Garrett County Maryland going back at least 8 generations. The main surnames from her ancestry I am researching are;
Albright, Browning, McMullen, Feather, Groves, Hartman, Kelly/Kelley, Smouse, Springosky, Teeter and Wilson family lines.
My Father's Family is made up of Pilgrim Mayflower descendants, and German immigrants. The Family names for his unresearched people are Kline, Bradley, Gilmore, Rose, Starr, Stone, Valentine, and Winans.
The Mayflower "Silver Books", which trace each Pilgrim to the 5th generation, are a great starting place if you find out you are descended from that group of people.
