I am learning so much about who am through the research of my ancestors. It's not an easy road, and I have made some mistakes along the way... but it is totally rewarding when I can truly confirm what I have captured in my family tree.
My 30 years at Boise State University gave me access to so much that is new, influential, and historical in that we know a lot of history is far from what "really happened". I have always been a digger, I love getting deep into whatever I am doing, probably my OCD that pushes me to dig further than necessary, but I find that is where truth lies, and that is the satisfaction of focus others see as obsession. Maybe from another's view it is obsession, but to me it is the pleasure of assembling the WHOLE of my pursuit.
