I was adopted and raised as an only child. Both my adoptive parents have passed, Floyd W. and Mary (born Burns, no middle name) Evans.
My adoptive mother, Mary (Burns) Evans was somewhat of a family historian. She left journals, and stories of her life, mostly about her siblings and mother. Her parents, James Jasper Burns and Mary Samantha (born Young) Burns Hall traveled across the Oregon Trail with covered wagons.
I have looking for my biological family for decades. Samuel Adam and Stella Jane (maiden name Martin) Richardson are my paternal grandparents according to my DNA tests.
