My name is Renee. I was born in Minneapolis, MN. I have lived in Fort Wayne, IN; Clearwater, FL; Albuquerque, NM; Brooklyn, NY; West Paterson/Wayne, NJ; and now Lexington, KY. I located my birth mother around 1992, and my birth father in 2018 (thanks to DNA testing and Ancestry.com). He was not aware of my existence until then. He was very gracious and welcoming to me. I am sad to say that he recently passed (Feb 2022), but am grateful for the little time I did have with him, and the family members (cousins) I have been in contact with because of him.
I am looking to explore and expand my family tree (and my ex's family tree) for myself and my son. Okay, to be honest--more so for me, since I lived with black holes and "??" for most of my life about my biological family and their origins, and am thrilled that I finally have family of my own (biologically) to add to my tree.
I would welcome contact from any family members, especially for help with my family tree (and vice versa). Any new, verified, confirmed, or suspected relationship linkage information about family members for my tree is welcome as well. It's a labor of love and a process, and I enjoy seeing my tree grow & expand.
Rettig (mother) and Bird (father) are just two of the family names in my tree. Those are the most direct familial links for me. Many more though, so don't shy away if you don't see yours right away, but we are linked somehow. I will try to add more names as I can.
