I love tracing my family roots. I remember as far back as I can remember my parents always took my maternal grandma to the cemeteries for memorial day. Grandma would always tell me about each loved one, their relationship to us and sometimes a personal story. Grandma always bought fresh potted hydrangea plants for her parents and grandparents graves.

Genealogy can teach us more than family history, help us learn whom we are, where our origins are from and sometimes unravel medical mysteries.

I learned years ago, that some genetic diseases can be traced back to first cousins or families Inter marrying. A faulty gene can develop and then lay dormant for 1 or more generations.

I through my love of genealogy, have finally found how it started out about 6 generations back, thankfully.
I have developed a love for genealogy and caring for loved ones thanks to my loving grandma and best ever mom.
