I live in Denver, Colorado but grew up in SW Michigan. Through my own family research, I try to contribute to the Find-A-Grave body of information when I can. I have researched my Dutch (probably Huguenot) ancestors who emigrated from Zeeland, Holland in 1848 and settled in "Town Eight" or Fox Point, Wisconsin. My 3x great-grandparents, Pieter Barthalomeus De Swarte and Suzanna Thomas De Swarte, with their many children and several grandchildren, settled in this small colony on the Lake Michigan shore. They are likely buried in the historic Bethlehem Cemetery in Fox Point, though only a few grave markers exist today.

I've visited this burial ground several times and photographed most of the remaining markers, one of which is my other 3x great-grandfather Gerardus Brandt and his daughter Jannetje Brandt De Swarte, also my ancestor. I produced a book of this research. I am always happy to share photos and information.

Now writing a book about my paternal ancestor Henry DeLong (1797-1863) of NY and Van Buren Co., MI and his many descendants. His first wife and mother of his first 6 children was an Ojibwe Indian woman named Mary. I include maps, plats, documents, photos, art, and descriptions of the physical and historical settings where my forebears played out their lives. I have tried to contribute to the body of information on Find-A-Grave as accurately as possible because the site has been a tremendous aid to my own research.

I created a couple of memorials recently when I've discovered an overlooked person in my ancestral family. A Michigan cousin has provided photos to enhance their stories. Other family lines I research are Morley and Bunny (from England), Smith of Monroe Co., MI, Ball, Skinner, Hutchins, Stearns (traced to founders of Mass Bay Colony), Jerome (share a common ancestor with W. Churchill), and Seward.
